Foam & Sponge Materials


There are hundreds of  different types of foams produced for different applications:-

  • Flexible or Semi Rigid.
  • Plain, Melamine or Post Treated Impregnated Foams.

Each foam has been designed with specific characteristics, it's our ability to listen to your requirements and match those to the best foam available which sets us apart from the competition, and at a competitive price.

The following is a small selection we have found to be consistent and cost effective for a number of applications including the sponging of ceramic clay ware. 

Polyether and Polyester Polyurethane Foams

CW  12 Density White Foam

Soft light density, white polyether foam used for lightweight packing.

CY  22 Density Yellow Foam

Medium density yellow polyether foam used for sponges, packing.

BG  27 Density Grey Foam

NB  80 Density Brown Foam

Very high density brown polyether foam used for machine and label sponges.

PE  32 Density Black Foam

High-density black polyester foam, used for packaging and automotive applications.

Special Foams

SP Cellulose Sponge

Made from cotton, wood pulp and flax mixed with salt crystals to give the cell structure.  Biodegradable with a good resistant to some organic solvents.  Can absorb up to 25 times their own weight in water.

PVA'Y

Medium pore rigid foam made from cross-linked Polyvinyl Alcohol, which becomes soft and flexible in the presence of water. Hydrophilic with a good chemical resistance.  Mechanically strong with a good abrasive resistance.

PVA'FB & FW

Super fine pore rigid foam made from cross-linked Polyvinyl Alcohol, which becomes soft and flexible in the presence of water. Hydrophilic with a good chemical resistance.  Mechanically strong with a good abrasive resistance.

Honeycomb Foams (soft & water loving)
HC  18 Density Yellow Honeycomb Foam

Low-density honeycomb foam used for consumer sponges and general cleaning.
Available in a range of colours

RH'F  Fine Pore Hydro Honeycomb Foam

High-density fine pore honeycomb foam used for hand and machine sponges.
Available in a range of colours.
