The Heath family has been associated with the Ceramic Industry since 1875, with over five generations being employed.  The present manufacturing company was established in 1912 and specialises in supplying the Ceramic Industry with various consumables, concentrating in the complex field of sponges.

Two other family companies were formed at the time, Heath Filtration Ltd specialising in filter media and Sneyd Oxides Ltd manufacturing colours and glazes

Over that time we built up an enviable reputation for quality and service that is second to none.  The present day company is somewhat different, however we still adhere to the same principles our forefathers established.

It was Mr. Wilfrid S. Heath, who was responsible for introducing into daily use synthetic materials in the Ceramic Industry, he revolutionised the use, first with the nylon press cloth and shortly after the synthetic sponge, which are still being used today.

The company still has a reputation for innovation and design, working closely along with the well-known ceramic companies.  The advantages we have over any other suppliers are, that we not only have an extensive knowledge of the foam / sponge industry, but also the ceramic industry, with over 125 years experience.  We also supply many other ancillary items, which complement our extensive range of sponges

We currently market our product range all over the world, supplying our sponges to many different industries and applications, many designs bespoke to customers own requirements and manufactured in a unique range of materials specially selected for their use.  These materials are tested to our own standards for quality and consistency, thereby ensuring you minimal disruption in your production process
